The Family Safari

Crocodile Camp

Embark on an enriching family safari with our specialised tips for parents traveling with children aged 6-12. Find detailed guidance in our Travel Advice section on the website. Enjoy the convenience of a Private Safari Vehicle and exclusive activities throughout. Additionally, our staff is available to engage with the kids, providing breaks for parents who wish to relax while their children are kept entertained.

  • Private Vehicle: Opt for intimacy with a private vehicle, minimizing disruptions and ensuring an engaging experience for your family.
  • Wildlife Education: Transform the safari into an educational adventure for your children. Our guides enhance their understanding of the ecosystem; equip them with binoculars and guidebooks.
  • Shorter Drives: Plan interactive, shorter drives to keep children engaged and interested; avoid prolonged game drives.
  • Team Effort: Share childcare duties for a harmonious family experience; remember, “happy wife, happy life.”
  • Safety Priority: Prioritize safety with experienced guides familiar with working with young people; certain behaviors are intolerable due to safety concerns.
  • Consider Rest: Acknowledge younger children’s need for adequate sleep; a tired child can disrupt the harmony of any setting.
  • Hydration and Preferences: Ensure hydration and communicate any specific eating habits your child may have, enhancing the dining experience.
  • Playtime: Allow for open spaces or designated areas for children to run and release energy.
  • In-Camp Activities: Look for camps with engaging activities for children during downtime.
  • Electronic Devices: While charging may be challenging, don’t solely rely on electronic devices. If used, mute them to maintain a serene safari atmosphere.
